Introduction:
Plants grow in abundance during rainy season and are found everywhere, it has height of about 9 to 15 inches. Leaves are like leaves of lajwanti plant, small and in row on both sides of stem. Flowers are tiny pale green in colour. Tiny fruits are found at the root under the leaves. Plant is an important herb used in treatment of liver related problems. All parts of this herb are used in ayurvedic preparations.
Uses:
- Juice of whole plant is given to cure Jaundice and other liver disorders.
- Paste of leaves is applied to cure skin infections and itching.
- Juice of whole plant is given to cure leucorrhea and other urinary problems; it acts as blood purifier also.
- Gargling decoction of leaves and roots gives relief in mouth ulcers.
- Juice is given to break urinary stones.
- Juice acts as an antipyretic and given in various fever conditions.
- In respiratory disorders like Asthma, juice is useful.
- Juice/powder is useful to treat indigestion and acidity, simulates appetite.
- Prepare a paste of whole plant adding rock salt and apply externally on parts having swelling and pain for relief.
