ATIVISHA

Introduction:

There are two types of Ativisha, bitter and sweet. In Ayurveda bitter one is used, that can be stored for long. Trees are found in Himalayas. Tuberous roots are taken out and used for medicinal use. These roots are White, Gray, Black and Yellow in colour, White is used in Ayurveda. Best medicine for children usually found in all Ghuti for children.

Uses:

1. Powder is given to children for treatment of Cough, Cold, Asthma and vomiting. For Fever and vomiting Nagarmoth powder is added and given with honey. For Asthma and cough powder is given with honey.

2. For diarrhea, dysentery in children powder may be given in honey. Absorbs extra water from the body.

3. For Digestive and carminative problems of children, powder may be given. Improves digestion power, removes Aam from digestive tract.

4. Useful in treatment of piles and hemorrhoids.

5. Detoxify body, removes worms commonly found in children.

6. Useful on all type of fever.
