Amrut Dhara

Introduction:

Amrut Dhara is an Ayurvedic preparation used as household remedy for day-to-day ailments, e.g. cough and cold, Muscle pain, Joint pain, stomachache, vomiting, dysentery and diarrhea and insect-bite. Amrit Dhara contains Mint Concentrate (Pudine ka sat), Carom seeds concentrate (Ajvain ka sat) and Bheemseni Kapoor.

Ingredients: Contains following ingredients:

Preparation:

Take equal parts of Camphor, Thymol and Menthol. Take a wide mouth Glass bottle. Add crystals of all three ingredients one by one in the bottle. Keep the mixture as it is overnight. Morning you will find all crystals turned into transparent liquid. Mix the liquid well. The liquid is ready to use.

You may use this liquid after preparing Oil also. Take Sesame oil ten times of Amrutdhara liquid. Mix it well and use it as Oil.

Doses:

One to two drops of Amrutdhara liquid to be used. Oil may be used to apply externally.

Uses:

  1. Useful in cough and cold. Put a drop on handkerchief and inhale or put few drops in your steamer and inhale. Alternately, apply oil on forehead, chest and on back.
  2. Insect Bites. Put a drop of Amrut Dhara on the affected part and gently rub it for few minutes.
  3. Muscle and Joint Pain. Apply oil on affected part externally.
  4. Useful in Dysentery, Vomiting and Stomach pain. Add one drop in water and drink.
  5. Relieve Headache and Toothache. Apply oil on affected part externally.
